Namela is in its pilot year. We will not dress targets up as achievements. This page states what we are aiming for, how we will measure it, and how we will report it.
Year 1 pilot targets
What we are aiming for
Four commitments define our first year. Each is a target, not a result, and each has a defined measurement method behind it.
A note on honesty: these figures describe our ambition for Year 1, not what we have already done. As the pilot progresses, this page will be updated with actual results against each target, including any shortfalls and what we learned from them.

How we measure
Our measurement approach covers five areas, from who we reach to whether their lives actually change course.

Why we measure this way
A workshop is not an outcome
It is easy for a career guidance organisation to count heads in a hall and call it impact. We hold ourselves to a harder standard: did the learner make a clearer decision, did they actually apply, and did they land somewhere that fits?
That is why our tracking runs to six months after each programme, and why our Digital Career Access engine keeps every learner's journey visible rather than letting it end when the session does.
All data is collected with informed consent, managed under POPIA, and reported in aggregate. Funders receive findings before publication, and our research outputs are shared publicly so that others can build on them.
